Hasanlu Lovers is a narrative video game inspired by the mysterious and factual story behind the photo titled Hasanlu Lovers. It follows a young man’s struggle towards self acceptance of his sexual and gender identity.

 

The game is designed to have the player experience the low and high moments of this character’s journey in the style of a simple point-and-click adventure game, using the medium's interactivity and immersion to relate the tale in ways that a film cannot. The primary source of audio will be a slam poem.
