REVIVAL The Vanishing Cloud Forest is an immersive and educational exhibition aiming to raise awareness of human intervention's negative and positive impacts on natural biomes and promote a healthy and sustainable relationship with our natural environments.

This project utilises and showcases the extensive research of the highly collaborative Cloud Forest Project funded by the UK Government's Climate Stability and Security Fund.

The Cloud Forest Project works to restore St Helena’s internationally important Cloud Forest for water security and wildlife, implementing the Peaks National Park Management Plan (2021-2026).

In partnership with The St Helena Research Institute (Research Institute), a member of the Cloud Forest Project, REVIVAL aims to promote both scientific and empathic understanding of the importance of their restoration work and their positive action to preserve and restore biodiversity. You can learn more about the Cloud Forest Project here.

We presented their research in an informative and easily digestible way through interactive installations.

Our installation consists of a immersive 360 room projection digitally recreate St Helena’s cloud forest in Diana’s Peak complete with a audio guide, as well as a touch interactive table showcasing information and data.

This includes information detailing the invasive species invading the habitats of endemic species and subsequently threatening the water cycle of St Helena island. By giving visitors a glimpse of this island’s lost beauty we hope to promote tourists and researchers to aid in St Helena Research Institute’s cause.
